We were so pleased and excited to have Hollis L Gentry join us on the show to talk about one of Washington DC’s hidden genealogical research gems: the National Museum of African American History and Culture’s (NMAAHC) Library.
Hollis serves as a genealogy specialist with the Smithsonian Libraries and Archives. In addition to her extensive background in African American genealogy and general American genealogy – Hollis conducts reference consultations on U.S. local history and genealogical research. She also serves as a Content Specialist for the Freedmen’s Bureau Indexing, and Freedmen’s Bureau Transcription Projects.
