S05 E27: Deborah Sampson American Revolutionary Hero with Forrest Crosley

Deborah Sampson was an indentured servant until the age of 18. By 22 years of age, she disguised herself as Robert Shurtleff and joined in the fight during the American Revolutionary War. Deborah dug trenches and led infantrymen into battle. She even led a raid that resulted in the capture of 15 men from the other side.

Forrest Crosley from the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution joined us to talk about the life and military service of this heroic and remarkable woman.
