Genealogists spend a lot of time stressing the importance of preserving records and resources that documented our ancestors’ lives for future generations.

Until recent events at Twitter, we haven’t really thought about the supportive and respectful social media networks and communities we have built. They are just as important. As we witness the possible implosion of Twitter – what’s next for the online genealogy community we’ve built over a decade?
