GA S03 E01: Native American Genealogy with Chief Lonzado Langley (Euchee, SC)

In this episode, we spoke with Chief Lonzado Langley of the Euchee in South Carolina about some of the basics when it comes to researching Native American genealogy- with an emphasis on Native American genealogy in the southern coastal states.

Chief Langley shares some important research resources. He also shares his own personal genealogical journey, which includes how he learned to carry on the oral tradition of remembering family lineages.

He also reminds us that sometimes our ancestry is preserved in the very names our families used, as well as the names of the towns they founded.
