The Rosa Parks “In Her Own Words” exhibition at the Library of Congress is a powerful and moving exhibition. There was more to her than I ever knew. For instance, I never knew Ms Parks was such a vocal advocate for the empowerment of young women and young minds. Her genealogy is just incredible.
I was blessed to be invited to the preview event, where I learned about her lifelong work as an advocate for the empowerment of young women and young minds.
Genealogists will love the stunning genealogical materials the Library of Congress has gathered and displayed as part of this exhibition.
If you have an opportunity to attend the exhibition, please do go. Exhibition details information: https://www.loc.gov/exhibitions/rosa-parks-in-her-own-words/about-this-exhibition/?fbclid=IwAR0lV9kP7sD0VZsXPQ_exLJFEj8P7deMnqdzeiGqG-ksAdT03uXBgLQdYiA
