S03 E20: Black American Heroines: The African American Women of US Journalism with Maya Millett

Black women journalists dared to wield their pens in the names of truth and justice. At a time when all women were discouraged from engaging in “unladylike” activities like politics, black women of the American press were boldly writing about racial justice, gender equality, and political reform. We just had to do an episode featuring the African American women of US Journalism.
